Some of my FAVs! |
Then I would plop myself down in front of the TV...well, hold up, rewind, first I would physically turn the knob on the TV set to make sure the right channel was on...we only had 3! And then I would adjust the rabbit ears to make sure the picture was as clear as possible AND THEN I would cozy up in my Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag and watch all my favorite cartoons for hours.
Some of my favs:
Jetsons (So futuristic!)
Smurfs (dreamed about being Smurfette!)
Popeye (eat spinach = get big muscles)
Fat Albert (hey, hey, hey...can you imagine if we had a cartoon about a fat guy nowadays?)
ALL Looney Tunes cartoons...especially the Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote (it was all about a coyote trying to figure out a way to kill his buddy...check out these ground rules of each episode I just found on the internet here)
Other notables:
Scooby Doo (so fun to try to figure out who was the bad guy!)
Tom and Jerry (they were just crazy!)
Man, oh man, I really loved Saturday mornings!
What were some of your favorite Saturday morning cartoons?

ReplyDelete:) Thanks for checking it out! Have a fabulous weekend!
DeleteOMG, thanks for lightening me about the fact that Scooby Doo shows involved critical thinking skills! <3 I loved Scooby back in the day and now teach GED classes. Ima figure out a way to make a lesson plan out of Scooby ;)
